Sanctification Verses: Obedience

Deuteronomy 6:16 (The Scriptures–1998) “Do not try יהוה your Elohim as you tried Him in Massah.

1 Samuel 15:22 (The Scriptures–1998) Then Shemu’ĕl said, “Does יהוה delight in burnt offerings and slaughterings, as in obeying the voice of יהוה? Look, to obey is better than an offering, to heed is better than the fat of rams. 23  “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and stubbornness is as wickedness and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of יהוה, He also does reject you as sovereign.” 24 And Sha’ul said to Shemu’ĕl, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the command of יהוה and your words, because I feared the people and listened to their voice.

2 Chronicles 7:13 (The Scriptures–1998) “If I shut up the heavens and there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people upon whom My Name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I shall hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin and heal their land.

Proverbs 5:11 (The Scriptures–1998) Then you shall howl in your latter end, When your flesh and your body are consumed, 12 And shall say, “How I have hated discipline, And my heart has despised reproof! 13 “And I have not heeded the voice of my teachers, And I have not inclined my ear to those who instructed me!

Isaiah 1:16 (The Scriptures–1998) “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Stop doing evil! 17 “Learn to do good! Seek right-ruling, reprove the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” says יהוה. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 “If you submit and obey, you shall eat the good of the land; 20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword,” for the mouth of יהוה has spoken.

Matthew 9:12 (AENT) But when Y'shua heard, he said to them, "The healthy are not in need of a doctor, rather those that are badly afflicted. 13 Go learn what this means: I require mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call on the righteous, rather on the sinners."

Matthew 28:19 (AENT) Go therefore, make disciples of all nations and immerse them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Ruach haKodesh. 20 And teach them to keep all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen."

2 Timothy 3:16 (AENT) All Scripture that was written by the Spirit is profitable for instruction and for decisive refutation, and for correction, and for deep extensive learning in righteousness; 17 that the man of Elohim may become perfect and complete for every good work.

Hebrews 5:8 (AENT) And though he was a son, yet, from the fear and the sufferings he endured, he learned obedience. And the result was that he was perfected and became the cause of eternal life to all them who obey him.

James 1:12 (AENT) Blessed is the man who endures temptations so that when he is proved he may receive a crown of life which Elohim has promised to them that love Him. 13 Let no one when he is tempted, say: "I am tempted of Elohim," for Elohim is not tempted with evils, nor does He tempt any man. 14 But every man is tempted by his own lust; and he lusts and is drawn away. 15 And this (his) lust conceives and brings forth sin; and sin when mature, brings forth death. 16 Do not mistake this, my beloved Brothers.

James 1:22 (AENT) But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only; and do not deceive yourselves.

James 2:24 (AENT) You see that by works a man is justified and not by faith alone.

1 John 2:3 (AENT) And by this we will be sensible that we know him, if we keep his Commandments. 4 For he that says I know him, and does not keep his Commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him. 5 But he that keeps his Word, in him is the Love of Elohim truly completed: for by this we know that we are in him. 6 He that says "I am in him" is bound to walk according to his halakha.

Jude 1:23 (AENT) And when they repent, have compassion on them with fear, hating even the garment that is blemished by the flesh. 24 And to him who is able to preserve you faultless and spotless, and to establish you without a blemish 25 before his majesty with joy (namely), the only Elohim, our Deliverer, by means of Y'shua the Mashiyach our Master, be praise, and dominion and honor and majesty, both now and in all ages.  Amen.
